About Elmbridge Rentstart

We don't just help people to get a roof over their heads, we help to give them back their self-esteem, their lives and reunite them with their families

Elmbridge Rentstart is a local charity established to assist single people and childless couples on low income to access accommodation in the private rented sector. Since our beginnings in 2001 we have helped well over a thousand people in need. 

Based in Esher we have a committed team of permanent and volunteer staff. Building key relationships with local landlords, agents, Elmbridge Council, Citizens Advice Bureau, Housing Associations, Hostels and other charities is essential to our success and ensures the best possible outcome for our clients.

Our core funding is provided by Elmbridge Borough Council. Other sources include Surrey County council, Thames Homeless Project, Local businesses and our own fund-raising activities.
